# Work with Fluid

Bring an idea, a problem or something you want to improve. Together, we can explore what it would mean to build it with Fluid.

## Start with what you want to achieve

You may want to create a new application, improve an existing process or offer a capability to other organizations. You may also see something that is not working yet without knowing exactly how it should change.

Start there. Describe what you want to achieve, who it matters to and what makes it difficult today. You do not need to translate it into a software specification before we talk.

## Find a useful starting point

### Create something new

Build around a service, process or way of working you want to introduce. Start with what people need to do and what the organization needs it to mean.

### Improve what already exists

Explore a process that relies on workarounds, a concept defined differently across applications or a requirement that your current software struggles to accommodate.

### Make your expertise reusable

Consider whether something your organization understands and does well could become a capability others can use—with their own people, records and responsibilities.

## Explore it together

We begin with the work: the people involved, the concepts and decisions that matter, and what a useful result would look like.

We also look at the environment around it. Which applications and information sources are already there? What needs to remain connected? What should stay as it is?

From there, we identify a manageable starting point, examine whether Fluid fits and agree on what is worth exploring next. That might be one part of a larger idea—not the whole undertaking at once.

## Bring your understanding of the work

You do not need a finished model, a requirements document or a complete project team to start the conversation.

Begin with someone who understands the need. As the exploration becomes more concrete, we identify who else should participate: people who know the work, people who can make decisions about it, and people who understand the existing systems.

One person may bring several of those perspectives. We work out what is needed together.

## Let’s talk

Tell us briefly what you want to create or improve, who it is for and where you would like to begin. An example or a question is enough to start.
